The book offers an in-depth look at computed tomography and its clinical aspects. Computed tomography is a crucial imaging method in clinical practice, especially, multi-detector-row computed tomography (MDCT). It is an important non-invasive imaging device and has numerous advantages over other such devices. It was the first non-invasive imaging technique to examine internal human body not biased by superimposition of different anatomical structures. It was introduced in 1970s and since then, it has advanced and improved to a great extent. For instances, the introduction of helical systems has allowed the development of "volumetric CT" concept. Such applications make it a versatile diagnostic technology for non-destructive material testing and 3D imaging, beyond its medical use.
