Under this consideration, the Author offers the following observations to the purchasers of this volume.<br><br>Learning, with regret, that it has been imagined by many, that the present volume would have concluded this work, he is under the necessity of observing, that this opinion could not have been derived from any declaration of the Author, whose advertisements have never specified more, than that the first volume would contain the fossils belonging to the vegetable kingdom.
