They have had gratifying success in devising games and dances which make a strong appeal to young and old alike. The writer of this Introduction has often observed Professor Elsom and Professor Trilling take groups of children or grown persons who were diffident, restrained and ill-at-ease in each other's presence and quickly make them forget their embarrassment so that they participated readily and gladly in what was going on.
