Opis
The aim of this research was to determine the offspring phenotypic response to the interactions of the foetus-mother-environment system factors. The study was based on the birth weight of 1.000 singleton newborns. Environment of development of infants was described on the basis of a set of variables characterizing intrauterine conditions and external conditions in relation to the maternal organism. The mutual relationships between explanatory variables and their hierarchical structure were established by the classification and regression tree analysis. The perinatal status of the exam-ined infants was influenced by a rangę of biological, social, economic and cultural variables. The numerous interactions between the analysed variables were confirmed.
