PL: The collection of research papers presented in this book reveals a series important issues concerning Polish economy on the way to European Union. Partially, it is a fruit of co-operation between the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun and Department of Economics and Organisational Sciences - University of the Federal Armed Forces, Munich.
The papers are arranged in three broad groups. Part I provides an overview of selected aspects of macroeconomic performance. Integration ol the Polish economy into the European Union poses enormous challenges to companies operating on the local market. Therefore, papers included in Part II discuss various problems of the Polish enterprises adjustment to the new environment. Part III presents conclusions which derive from the empirical findings of our Munich partners and sheds light on the stock of experience that European Union members have in some fields.
