An introductory chapter has been kindly contributed by Dr. S. M. Zwemer, in which the distinctive character of these contributions to the study of Islam is made clear. It is believed that all who are concerned in missions to Moslems will find instruction and inspiration in the living experience which the studies record.<br><br>In order to facilitate the use of the book by students, a second index has been added classifying the material under the six main topics dealt with.<br><br>Acknowledgments are due to the Rev.
