This monograph takes up the problem of the possibilities to develop the language creativity of a foreign language learner by stimulating his/her creative thinking. The problem is considered on the example of French as a foreign language, and put to empirical verification via an experimental procedure. The key issues of the theoretical chapters in this work are related to creativity as a multidimensional psychosocial phenomenon, to the cognitive conditioning of language creativity, and to the specificity of creative language behaviors in the perspective of teaching/learning French as a foreign language. The empirical chapter presents the course and results of the experimental procedure aimed at answering the question: Will creative thinking training develop, to what degree and within what range, the language creativity of a foreign language learner
