This book, published as part of a new series of translations of Polish legal acts into foreign languages, features an English translation of the Accounting Act. The translation is an attempt to reflect Polish accounting principles in English, in a manner as similar as possible to the practices prevailing in this respect in the documentation of European companies applying the International Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as in the directives and regulations of the European Union and British legislation.
